into new offices in Los Angeles’ Miracle Mile and is now open for business.

community,” says Douglas Keys, president of Douglas Keys Architects, an
architect with over 20-years of professional experience in Europe and the
United States.

Keys began his career as an intern in the London offices of
internationally acclaimed architects Nicholas Grimshaw and later Richard
Rogers. Keys was drawn to Europe to learn from the masters of his
profession. His involvement in award-winning projects in London and Berlin
established his reputation for the design and management of challenging
projects.

On his return to Los Angeles in 2001, Keys worked as a consultant
within architecture and engineering firms in Southern California on civic,
transportation, and “green” building projects. His practice now provides a
full range of design and construction administration services to a wide
range of clients. Currently on his drawing boards is a high-end subdivision
in the Hollywood Hills, a medical office campus, and tenant improvement
projects. “I’m interested in a mix of project types and scales,” says Keys,
“each strengthens the other.”

Keys’ range of experience covers new construction, renovation and
historic preservation. One common feature is a collaborative creative
process with his clients. “I’ve always believed that personal attention
from start to finish is the foundation of a great project,” says Keys. “We
listen to our clients, understand their preferences and choices, and make
suggestions based on our experience and creativity,” he adds.

Keys believes he’s found the perfect home for his architecture in
Southern California: “My work is a hybrid architecture that combines the
attention to detail and holistic approach of British architecture with the
