NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., July 3 /PRNewswire/ — William Lyon, Chairman &
CEO and Douglas F. Bauer, President and Chief Operating Officer of William
Lyon Homes, have announced the promotion of Thomas J. Mitchell to the
position of Executive Vice President, Business Development and Operations.

Mr. Mitchell is a homebuilding industry veteran with diversified
experience, including his 20-year tenure with William Lyon Homes where he
has held various leadership positions at the division and corporate levels.
For the past two years, he has served as the Company’s Regional President
overseeing all aspects of daily operations in Southern California. In his
new role as Executive Vice President, Business Development and Operations,
Tom will lead and maximize the strategic efforts to identify and develop
incremental business opportunities that will provide for future growth in
both Northern and Southern California.
