CANTON, Ohio, July 31 /PRNewswire/ — Schumacher Homes was proud to
build DREAM HOME 2008 to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in
the Bowling Green, OH market. This was made possible with support from
their suppliers and subcontractors. “Our children are the future,” said
Mary Schumacher Becker, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Schumacher
Homes, “and we are happy and proud to have a share in their well-being.”
Schumacher Homes, an on-your-lot custom homebuilder, builds in
Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania,
South Carolina, Texas, and West Virginia.
It was established in 1992 by Paul Schumacher and has grown from

Centers in each of its markets, including the 25,000 square-foot
award-winning Design Center and 6 fully decorated models in Akron at White

Dream Homes are built around the country each year. A limited number of
tickets are sold — 6500 — at $100 each. The raffle was held June 8 and
the lucky grand prize winner was Ashley Caputo of Toledo, OH. The St. Jude
Dream Home raised $551,000 in ticket sales and donations for research and
treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The home built by Schumacher Homes, The Olivia, was 3,052 sq. ft. with
3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, featuring a soaring 2-story great room, sunroom,
2-story stone fireplace, granite countertops and stainless steel
appliances.

its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and
other catastrophic diseases. Founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas
and based in Memphis, Tennessee, St. Jude freely shares its discoveries
with scientific and medical communities throughout the world. No family
