SAP customers will demonstrate the top- and bottom-line growth they
generate with SAP at the International SAP Real Estate Management
Conference in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Sept. 29-Oct. 1, and at the Americas’
SAP Real Estate Management Conference 2008 in Philadelphia, Pa., Oct.
21-23. At each conference, SAP experts, partners and customers will discuss
and demonstrate how SAP Real Estate Management helps corporate, commercial
and public real estate managers to achieve transparency, streamline their
business processes and support investment strategies.

For most companies, real estate represents both a tremendous financial
asset and a high operating cost. In a recent Aberdeen study(1), 71 percent
of enterprises surveyed said the role of real estate and facilities
lifecycle management (REFLM) has become more strategic over the past two
years for its ability to positively impact the bottom line.

“Companies now realize that the spaces they occupy can be strategically
managed and help deliver savings and efficiencies to the enterprise,”
stated Bill Browning, research analyst, Aberdeen Group. “However, as they
come to this realization they also understand that they need adequate
solutions and systems to get the visibility to drive performance and manage
their portfolio of real estate and facilities throughout their duration of
occupancy.”

Companies in more than 60 countries across all industries use SAP Real
Estate Management to optimize real estate and facilities life-cycle
management.

SAP Real Estate Management is part of the SAP(R) ERP application and
supports all phases of the life cycle of real estate assets, including the
acquisition or disposal of real estate, management of the real estate
portfolio, property and facilities management, as well as accounting and
reporting. SAP expects customers to take advantage of the fourth
enhancement package, which will be available in late 2008 and will include
innovations in SAP Real Estate Management. This new functionality supports
enhanced corporate real estate scenarios such as simplified management of
space, rooms and moves, as well as improved support for real estate
analytics and lease management.
